Charity quilts

Just to have a record of these quilts made by the Relief Society that I had helped with. We made 7 twin size quilts to give to the teenagers and children of three Syrian refugee families that have come to our area.
Aren't they cute? All from donated fabric and batting and of course time!

I had a sweet compliment on my Etsy shop the other day, one of my customers wrote me a sweetest note when she received her quilt in the mail.  She wrote to tell me how much she loved the quilt that she bought to give to her expected grandson and she liked it so much that she bought another one of my quilts to keep for all her grandsons when they come to her house.  I thought that was one of the nicest compliments!

Moms, children and babies love and cherish the handmade quilts they recieve as gifts from loved ones, and I am convinced that giving a beautiful handmade quilt to a new mom or a cherished child is an expression of love!

Sunshine Squares

Yay! A bright and cheerful baby girl quilt that is for sale in the SimpleSweetShop.  It is soft flannel fabric top and bottom with a nine patch design.  Backed with a bright green houndstooth minicheck print and bound in yellow polkadot.

Kitty Cat Quilt

Finally finished!  Kitty cat quilt is one of my all-time favorite quilts!  I really like the fabric and colors plus the "cinnamon bun swirl" quilting is my current favorite. Made with a charm pack, plus a few 1/4 yard cuts and a solid grey border.  Bound with the dark grey flower fabric from the line.  Backing is a cream colored 100% cotton sheet.

Animal Crackers

This is my first quilt for sale in my Etsy store!

First little quilt for sale is made for a baby boy. I made it with 100% cotton fabric and batting.  

Dimensions are 43" x 37"

Front is 3" squares framed by cream border and backed with solid turquoise fabic.  Binding is grey polkadot and is handfinished.
