Nubbie for my Hubbie

I made the "nubbie scrubbie" into a blanket!!  Made it for my Hubby. We love it. I made it while camping this last summer. It is perfect for cuddling in by the fire.  I used grey worsted weight yarns, two held together with a 10mm hook. I will try to design a pattern with the exact instructions in the future.

Retro Zig-zag afghan

I made this up by using left over yarns from my stash.

Some are cotton, some are acrylic, some are mixed fibers.  All are washable.  I used every weight of yarn from chunky to dk.  Some were one yarn, some two, and some three strands held together.  I just judged by the yarn and doubled the worsted weight ones, and then tripled the dk weight. I used 6.5mm hook though out.
The stripe pattern is just random, it was whatever yarn I wanted next and how ever many rows I felt like!!
It was super fast and easy to do!

Piccadilly Baby

Here is a quilt I made for my newest nephew.  I used a charm pack of  "Piccadilly" fabric, and a windmill block.  Basically the same as the block used in the blissful windmills quilt.  This was probably one of my fastest quilts ever from start to finish. Super fast 1-1/4 inch machine channel quilting.

I am now only two quilts away from being finished all my UFO's.  I am thinking that I should  not let myself start anything else until I get these last two done, it may be the only time in my life that I finish everything BEFORE starting something new.  But who am I kidding?  I just don't work like that. I will most likely not finish both of them before starting the new one.  The fabric is already picked out... the ideas are churning...I will make myself finish one more before deciding for sure...

Blissful windmills

Finally finished!!! My daughter wanted to learn to quilt one summer so we started this one.

I designed it and she cut and pieced it from a jelly roll of "Bliss" by Bonnie and Camille.  She did almost all the work, but the summer ended before the borders got put on, and so it sat for a long time, waiting for "someone" to get time to help her finish it.  This spring break, we finally got it out and finished it up!  I helped by quilting some of it, but she also learned how to machine quilt.  We did 1-1/4 channel quilting on the diagonal.  She is very proud of her quilt!!

A Lovely Tweet

For fabric I used a layer cake of "Lovely" by Sandy Gervias.  The pattern is based on the block from "Dilly Dally" by Camille Roskelly.  I designed my border of trees and birds using shapes from my silhouette at my daughter's request. This is a single size for her bed. Free-motion stippling to quilt.
