Hexagon Blocks and Birds

I made this fun little playmat for babies that was started so long ago but finally was finished!  It is just that I kinda like starting things and sometimes I get so many started at the same time, that it takes a while to see the finish!  Hand embroidered applique hexagons and birds makes a high contract and visually interesting quilt for babies to look at and snuggle in.  Raw edge appliqued for softly fraying rustic look. This one is for sale in the shop.
